•  Dropcloths and sootsweeper vacuum are set  by the fireplace or woodstove.

·         The chimney is then swept, either from the top or from the bottom.

·         After the sweeping is complete, the chimney flue is inspected for any cracks or signs of deterioration.

·         The flashing around the chimney and the crown surrounding the flue tiles at the top of the chimney are inspected for cracks or any other deterioration that may be taking place.

·         Fireplace - Clean the firebox, smoke shelf and smoke chamber.

·         Woodstove - Clean out the burn chamber, remove stove pipe and clean and empty cleanout if one exists.
